CREATOR REGISTARTION

Q: Who qualifies as a CREATOR?

A: CREATORS are Artists, Authors and Artisans. This refers to individuals who sell artwork, art prints, fan-art and original art generally inside of "Artist Alley". This also includes authors whom self publish books and artisans that sell handmade jewelry, homemade items and crafts.

DEALER REGISTARTION

Q: Who qualifies as a DEALER?

A: Dealers are Pop-Culture Retailers, Collectible Vendors and Small Press Publishers. This refers to individuals who sell Comic books in bulk, Collectible Comics, New or Vintage Toys or Action Figures, Video or Board Games, Etc. as well as Small Press Publishers who self publish comics.

SNACK DEALER REGISTARTION

Q: Who qualifies as a SNACK DEALER?

A:  We will have One established Food Dealer for the main food items at this show. We also have limited Snack Dealers that must have an established professional food service business and are able to acquire a food permit as this is required at this event. Snacks are items such as; Cheese, Popcorn, Coffee, Non alcoholic beverages, Etc.

2023 NWI Comic-Con Rules & Regulations
 

  1. All Ages Show: The NWI Comic-Con is open to all ages as this is a family friendly event. Artwork or merchandise attended for those 18 years and older, cannot be displayed out in the open. No nudity or pornographic images or merchandise can be displayed on your table or at your booth at anytime during the duration of this event. 

  2. Exhibitor Space: Registration Forms for Creators and Dealers will open via the website on Thursday, September 15, 2022 and will remain open until Monday, October 31, 2022. Please remember that space is limited and that this is a “Juried'' convention. Everyone who signed up for table space at the 2023 NWI Comic-Con will be notified via email with the juries selected candidates. Signing-up or registering does NOT guarantee space at the 2023 NWI Comic-Con. Deliberations will take place from November 1st-15th, 2022. All who registered will be contacted via the email provided. (Please note, if you were accepted one year, this does not guarantee you will be selected again. We only have space for 100+ Exhibitors and get well over 300 submissions each year). If you are accepted and full payment has been received, you will be confirmed as an exhibitor attending the event. If for any reason the floor plan must be changed, the NWI Comic-Con reserves the right to relocate exhibitors. The NWICC also reserves the right to accept or refuse any individuals or companies from exhibiting at the event. All Exhibitor fees are stated on registration applications.

  3. Payment: All Payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Payments must be paid in full to participate as an exhibitor. An invoice will be sent to applicants that have been selected. All Exhibitors will have the choice to pay using a Debit/CC via a SQUARE link.

  4. Exhibitor Rules: All Exhibitors must comply with and conform to the laws of the State ordinances and regulations of Lake County, Indiana. The NWI Comic-Con reserves the right to reject or expel any exhibitor, or part thereof, which is not following the rules and regulations of the event.

  5. No Bootlegs or Unauthorized Merchandise: Bootlegging is described as the taking of established published artwork and or digital media and reproducing product for sale that is not owned. The NWI Comic-Con does not permit or condone the sale of bootleg or unauthorized merchandise at this event. The sale and/or display of ANY merchandise shall ONLY BE ALLOWED, where the merchandise has been approved by the license holder for the property depicted and does not infringe on copyright or trademark laws. Merchandise including but not limited to: video, digital, DVD’s, CD’s, and artist’s renderings in any form or format, must not violate the rights of the rights-holder. Violation may result in immediate expulsion from the convention without refund.

  6. Exhibitor Set Up: Exhibitor Booths, tables, and chairs, will be set up and ready for you when arriving at the venue. Exhibitors will be provided with an exhibitor badge and table location upon checking in at this event. Exhibitor badges must be worn and displayed at all times. Exhibitors must also install an attractive display of his/her products and/or services within the perimeters of his or her assigned space only. Exhibitors may start setting up on the day of the event, Saturday, February 11th at 7 a.m. (the earliest) and must be ready and done by 9:30 p.m.(at the latest). When available, multiple members of the NWICC staff are always willing to help you set up your space, or help you bring items in from your vehicle.

  7. Exhibitor Break Down: Exhibitors are not permitted to begin breakdown or start removing displays from the building before final closing of the Show. You are more than welcome to start breaking down your booths at 5:45 p.m. All exhibitors must be out of the venue by 8:00 p.m. and nothing should be left behind.

  8. Hours of the Show: The NWI Comic-Con will begin Saturday, February 11, 2022, first to Early Bird ticket holders at 10:00 a.m. and then open to the public at 11:00 a.m. The event will officially end and close to the public at 6:00 p.m.

  9. Audio Control: There will be entertainment on stage at this event. A kids costume parade, Two Coplay Contests, maybe some live Q&A panels, etc.. No other music or loud playing sounds should be playing or drown out the on-stage entertainment.

  10. NO Combustibles: Absolutely no combustible materials / heat sources / open flames allowed. No combustible oils or gasses can be used as a part of the operation at this event. All inflammable material must be fireproof. No open flames will be permitted within the building.

  11. Exhibitor Codes of Conduct: Be respectful of neighboring exhibitors, event staff and attendees, by keeping your area clean. Make sure your items and display does not spill over to the next exhibitor's space or into the attendee walking space or aisles.

  12. No Subletting Allowed: No exhibitor shall assign, sub-let, or apportion the whole or any part of space allotted to them, nor exhibit any goods, displays or services other than those manufactured or sold by the exhibitor. Items and services submitted in Exhibitor Application should be the same that are on display on the day of the event.

  13. No Alcohol Allowed: Outside alcohol is not permitted. Any outside alcohol will be confiscated.

  14. No Pets Allowed: If you have pets, including iguanas, parrots, boa constrictors, or other critters, please leave them at home. The NWI Comic-Con will not allow animals into the building except for service animals.

 

Release and Waiver

I as the Exhibitor hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless the NWI Comic-Con., LLC. and their successors and assigns from all liability claims, demands, and causes of action, of whatever kind of nature, either in law or equity, which may hereafter arise from my participation with the event staff, volunteers, and representatives. I understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges the NWI Comic-Con., LLC. of any liability or claim that I may have with respect to any bodily or other injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from my participation. I also understand that the NWI Comic-Con., LLC. does not assume any responsibility or obligation to provide financial assistance, including, but not limited to medical, health, or disability insurance, in the event of injury, illness, death, or property damage. I understand that I should review my own company insurance and agree that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law.

By agreeing with the NWI Comic-Con Rules & Regulations, I understand the information in this document, and agree to the provisions of this Release and Waiver, as well as everything listed above. I will also abide by any exhibitor rules, including venue rules, if accepted as an exhibitor.
